Connects to 63mm Polyethylene pipe by socket fusion and facilitates the connection of 2" BSP Male threaded components of any material.

Chemical Resistance Overview
Due to its non-polar nature as a hydrocarbon of high molecular weight, polyethylene shows a high resistance against chemical attack. PE is resistant to acids, alkaline solutions, solvents, alcohol and water. Fat and oil swell PE slightly. PE is not resistant against oxidising acids, ketones, aromatic hydrocarbons and chlorinated hydrocarbons. For information in regards to specific chemical resistances please speak to us. Note: Do not use thread sealing pastes that are harmful to PE.

UV Resistance:
Our polyethylene pipe & fittings are effectively stabilised against UV light by the addition of carbon black.

Physiological properties: Odourless, tasteless and physiologically inert. Our pipe and fittings are authorised for food use.

Max Working Pressures:
12 Bar Pressure at -50°C to +10°C for water similar media - Subject to pressure derating as shown below.

The data in this chart is accurate based on the piping of media that has no derating factor in regards to chemical resistance.
