Seal Material Options - EPDM / FPM Standard inner seals are made from EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer). Whilst suitable for many applications and compatible with the most commonly piped media, EPDM seals may not be compatible with certain aggressive media, we therefore offer an FPM Seal option. WRAS Approved: Any water fitting, which when installed, will carry or receive water from the public mains water supply in the UK, must comply with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations or Scottish Byelaws. These require that a water fitting should not cause waste, misuse, undue consumption or contamination of the water supply and must be ‘of an appropriate quality and standard’.
Thermal Properties
PVC-U shows very good characteristics in the temperature range from 0°C to +60°C- subject to pressure derating. At lower temperatures the impact strength drops considerably.
